| * Since funding for "general operations" is an endangered species, Matter of Trust, Inc. (MofT) cultivates volunteer networks and gifts-in-kind (see our | |||||||||||
| Reuse Of Sociey's Abundance [ROSA] program with our ExcessAccess.com system). We hire independent contractors for core and new project management | |||||||||||
| & teams. We prefer to work out of home offices or in the field. We have teams of student interns, work-from-home moms, and senior citizen advisors | |||||||||||
| as well as volunteers. We are very resourceful and enjoy to work with low overhead, so that we can devote funds to our vital programs. We also fiscally | |||||||||||
| sponsor grassroots projects and guard 5% of that funding for administrative expenses. And since some donors skip years between grants or like to fund | |||||||||||
| new groups every year, we concentrate on projects that have a chance to become sustainable in their own right. Together, all these ideas have allowed us | |||||||||||
| navigate the system, achieve our goals, grow and thrive since 1998. | |||||||||||
| ** Our oil spill hairmat manufacturing project launches in 2008, there is a large outlay of funds for machinery upfront. This program is in partnership | |||||||||||
| with The East Bay Depot For Creative Reuse and certain responsibilties such as warehouse staff / workmans comp / insurance will be their responsibility. | |||||||||||
| *** MofT's head office shares space with Excess Access. Excess Access donates administrative assistance, supplies and technical support for MofT. | |||||||||||
